About the Role

Randstad is currently partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit an experienced AO6 Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer based in South Brisbane.

This opportunity will see you working within a collaborative procurement team, delivering strategic sourcing initiatives, managing procurement activities and supporting effective contract management across a diverse range of categories.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation and contract negotiation.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver value for money and positive business outcomes.

• Manage procurement projects across a variety of goods and services categories.

• Provide procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.

• Support contract development, supplier management and performance monitoring.

• Ensure compliance with Queensland Government procurement policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and commercial outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:

• Previous experience in procurement, sourcing and contract management, preferably within the Queensland Government or public sector.

• Strong knowledge of procurement frameworks, tendering processes and contract negotiation.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement activities and competing priorities.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.

• Experience developing procurement documentation and managing tender evaluations.

• Relevant procurement qualifications, Level 2 Procurement Certification or equivalent experience will be highly regarded.
